வடைகறி (Vadakari)

VADACURRY RECEIPE

vada eaters like this receipe a lot.

the ingredients are rich in protein and hence nourish your kids and family members with this healthy receipe.

Ingredients:
  • Thoor dal................ 1 cup
  • Channa dal............ 3 cup
  • Red chilli................. 3 or 4 numbers
  • Garam masala........ 1 tspn
  • Onion...................... 3 Medium
  • Ginger Garlic ......... 1 tspn (paste)
  • Tomato.................... 2 Medium
  • chilli powder ........... 1/2 tspn
  • Salt.......................... as per Taste
  • Oil...........................3 Spn
  • Curry Leaves
  • coriander
  • Dry Mango (optional)  
Method

To Grind:-
Soak thoor dal and Chana dal together for 30 minutes. then mix them with red chilli ,half salt in a jar and grind it coarsely.

Preparation:- make balls out of this mixture and flat it to fry in the pan or dosa tawa.
after toasting ,crush them into powder using mixer (coarsely).


  • Now heat kadai and pour oil in it.
  • then add  garam masala ( pattai, kaskas, krambu, elachi, brinji leaf,etc) and fry onion, ginger and garlic for few minutes.
  • now add tomato , chilli powder ( sambar powder may also used) and turmeric and fry them.
  • once oil gets separate, add the mixer prepared using dal in to it.
  • pour water  based on your  requirements.
  • then finally add salt to taste and sprinkle mango powder.
garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves and serve hot with dosa, idly, etc.
